Birthday Boy

Having lots of boys, I generally need to have a few little boy birthday cards on hand for those birthday parties that seem to pop up all the time. This card idea popped into my head when thinking about how to use a bunch of new stamps and paper. Old Typewriter is the latest Scrapblock™ release from Cornish Heritage Farms. As most of you know…one of my favorite things to do with these Scrapblocks is to stamp them on Clear Card Sheets and create my own transparencies. CHF also have a new paper release…the Scrapblocks paper pack. I’m loving being able to stamp right on these subtly patterned papers to personalize them.

This darling owl, Owen actually ;), is one of Kim Hughes new releases. Now you can purchase some of her images as single unmounted or wood-mounted stamps. After coloring my owl with Copic markers, I cut him out and perched him on a rhinestone circle.

Quick Tip: A fun way to use this Scrapblock™ and get even more mileage from it is to cut out letters to spell words.

Happy, happy Friday!
