Thursday again! Time for another Ways to Use it Challenge. This week is rerun week so we’ll be doing a challenge we haven’t done in quite a while. Today’s challenge came to be because I all of a sudden started using something I hadn’t used in a very long time…my white gel pen! Now at first glance, it may actually hard to see how I used this pen as there are no dots, dashes, white writing on this design. I actually learned this trick from Sherrie Siemens…using a white gel pen to go back in and add highlights to a Copic marker colored image. It really helps it POP and added some great pure white highlights…especially in winter scenes and highly detailed images.
This image is the new Thomas Kinkade The Night Before Christmas stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms. It’s sooo beautiful…I just love it! Our release date is Wednesday September 17th so if you’ve been waiting for a new TK design…it won’t be long now!
Whether you use a white gel pen for faux stitching, adding highlights, writing, doodling…whatever….I hope you’ll pull it out andĀ join in with the challenge! š Check it out here!
Merry Little Christmas
Quick Tip: With highly detailed coloring, keep your embellishments to a minimum to keep the focus on the beautiful image.
Have a fabulous day!
