Simply Saturday….Thomas Kinkade Simple

A lot of people seem to think that the Thomas Kinkade stamping has to been difficult. Ornate designs, images you spent an hour…or two! coloring, but that is simply not the case. This is a very simple design that I put together quickly. The Thomas Kinkade images stamp so beautifully in monochromatic that it is actually my favorite way to use them Each painting is converted into a stamp image by Richard and Liz at Cornish Heritage Farms. Seriously…incredible work and they must have the patience of Job!

Thanks so much to everyone for your continued support voting for my layout! We’re half way through the week now and I’m excited to be in the running. Each vote counts so thanks so much for your time! Voting for Ultimate Summer Challenge

Beside Still Waters

For this design, I decided to try out an idea that I picked up the other day. I was picking up some Versafine ink to give it a whirl when I was told that because of the oil properties in this hybrid ink, you can emboss with it. I wanted to try it out on this image to see how it would work. After all…most craft inks that you can emboss with are too thick to use with these detailed stamps. I was so excited to find that it worked extremely well. I only had regular clear embossing powder..”.little terror” had fun with my powders a few weeks ago and dumped $40 worth of them together in a lovely big mess! I can’t wait to pick up some detail clear and try it again. I’ve also put in an order for some more of these great inks. I think I must have them all!

For the rest of the design, a simple sentiment and simple embellishment of ribbon and flower finish it off.

Hope your Saturday is “simply” wonderful!
Julia
