i love to stitch

I love creating cards.

I love sewing.

So I thought it would be fun to experiment with creating a card design that is almost entirely fabric.

I’m pretty tickled with how it came out!

Join me today in the CLASSroom for the tutorial, tips and step outs of my fabric card design.

Have a safe and fabulous long weekend!

a little bit country

It’s the last few weeks of summer.

This time of year is always hard. I hate to see the summer end. I want to cram in every last possible moment of joy before school starts, the leaves fall and sweater season begins.

It’s not that I don’t like Autumn. I do.

But summer is just a very special time. Especially here in Canada when it’s so short.

Looking out the windows I see beautiful fields of corn. It’s so high this year that I really can’t see much BESIDES corn. But that’s a good thing.

Perhaps it’s inspired the country feel of this card I’ve created for the CLASSroom. I hope you’ll join me here.

Have a fabulous weekend!

hey there!

It’s summer time, which in my mind equals bright beautiful color.

I’ve been having a blast with the gorgeous Artisan Resistable Paper Pack by Pink Paislee. It’s full of gorgeous prints that you can add color to to make any hue you can think of. As you can see, it looks great in a bright and bold color combo.

Join me in the CLASSroom for additional photos, supply list and some tips on creating Freestyle.

bon voyage

I’ve been busy getting inky!

I love stamping and travel too! Today’s fun card combines the two as my thoughts are with a friend who is on vacation.

Paris!

Imagine!

Lucky girl…safe travels, my friend!

I’m in the CLASSroom with a tutorial and step outs. Feel free to join me!

Have a fabulous weekend!

the envelope frenzy

I have a new toy.

The Envelope Punch Board.

Love, love, love it!

You can make a myriad of sizes and use so many unique papers with it.

I’ve created a tutorial for it that I’m sharing in the CLASSroom. I hope you’ll join me here.

Clearly Pretty

I’ve been missing designing with transparencies and couldn’t have been more excited to see the new overlays from Webster’s Pages. {love, love, love}

A few weeks ago I wrote a CLASSroom post on Transparency Tricks and have decided to continue and make it into a little series.

My most recent projects use a gorgeous Damask overlay to create a pocket card and a pillow box. I hope you’ll join me here in the CLASSroom. And stay tuned… I’m pretty sure I’ll be adding another episode in soon!

Have a fabulous weekend!

time after time

I’m not sure what it is about clocks but they inspire me. I can’t seem to put it into words. I suppose I love the look of them and that they note the passing of time. Our lives are made up of moments of time and a clock reminds of each passing hour. The tick of a clock can also be a comforting rhythm. We have a grandmother clock my husband made for me that chimes each quarter hour. When it winds down and becomes silent, there seems to be a strange emptiness in the house. While I just can’t totally pin it down, I do love clocks, especially old ones. Here’s a peek at my “till time stands still” Pinterest board…

If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made of.  – Bruce Lee

Today I’m in the CLASSroom sharing a favorite recent project, an altered clock. I hope you’ll join me for the tutorial and step outs.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend! Happy Memorial Day weekend to my US friends!
