a spring wreath

Now that the gorgeous weather is here, it finally feels like spring. My perennials are growing like mad and this week I have plans to do lots of gardening. I wanted to bring some spring inside my house as well and thought I’d create a little home dec project to do that.

Paper crafting supplies can be used it so many ways. I love getting them off the page and trying out different ideas. Lately I’ve been enjoying creating wreaths with them and I’ve created one to share in the CLASSroom with you. Join me here for the tutorial and lots of photos.

Have a beautiful day!

Imagine Paris Chalkboard Tag

I’m a big fan of the chalkboard trend. It’s been around awhile now. I first noticed it three years ago on the home decor and DIY blogs. I made my out chalkboard for our kitchen with some paint and an old frame I had in the basement. It still hangs there and I smile thinking about all the messages, menus and love notes that have graced its surface.

I’m seeing chalkboard more and more these days in advertising and it has finally hit the paper crafting circles.

Today I have a tag version of chalkboard style paper crafting. It has a yummy vintage Paris flavour and I hope you’ll join me today in the CLASSroom for more photos and all the details.

Have a fabulous weekend!

An Art Journaling Mini

So this is it.

My favorite project in a very long time.

Messy.

Inky.

Bright & fun.

Having stained fingers just makes me happy. Bizarre, I know!

I created this tag mini art journal for my daughter. She loves to journal and I hope the beautiful colors will inspire her and also remind her of how much she is loved.

Today I’m sharing all the inky details of this mini in the CLASSroom. I hope you’ll join me!

Happy Good Friday!

Windows and Birdcages

Easter and spring are almost upon us and I’ve been drawing inspiration from them for my card making projects.

I’m really excited about my latest card. It has a sweet window frame design with some stunning Graphic 45 Secret Garden papers.

Because a picture is worth a thousand words, today I’m in the CLASSroom sharing a tutorial with lots of step outs. I hope you’ll join me!

Wishing you a lovely and creative weekend!

a paper pieced valentine

We’re in the home stretch. Counting down the days until Valentine’s and more importantly in our house, my son’s wedding. I’ve been busy finalizing wedding programs and thank you’s and a few other details. I did manage to take time out to create today’s card for the CLASSroom.

It features a paper pieced background technique. I hope you’ll join me here.

Have a fabulous weekend!

You Are My Reason

Less than four weeks till Valentine’s!

This year it’s an even bigger deal in our house because with the Valentine’s weekend comes a wedding! We are definitely counting it down!

For those of you who haven’t heard, my oldest son gets married on February 16th. They wanted it as close to Valentine’s as possible as that is the anniversary of their first date. It’s amazing all the changes a year can bring!

Metallic Beauty

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

Yes! I am singing it. There is finally snow on the ground! It’s been a strange Canadian winter for us so far and I’m thrilled to see a beautiful white covering this morning. For me, it’s just not Christmas without it.

With Christmas right around the corner, here’s another holiday design…

Today I’m in the CLASSroom sharing this Christmas card design and tutorial. I hope you’ll join me here.

Wishing you lots of beautiful snow for Christmas!
