It’s Scrapblock release day and I’m so excited. I always love release days and today I have another idea to share with you using the Distressed Circles Scrapblock. Tuesday I showed how you can ink it with multiple inks for a patterned paper look and Wednesday, it was beautiful simply stamped onto Kraft Cardstock. Today’s project using a little more involved stamping technique but one that is still easy and fun to try. Some embossing and some Glimmer Mist make a great combination.
All I Am
Here’s how I did my Emboss Resist Backgound…
- If desired, stamp white cardstock with a stamp or backgrounder in a non-running ink. Anything you would watercolor with such as Stazon or a hybrid Palette Ink. I used the Spanish Script Backgrounder.
- Ink your Scrapblock with Versamark Ink or an embossing ink and stamp cardstock over top of previous stamping. Emboss with clear embossing powder.
- Spray design with Glimmer Mist in two colors for a subtle variation of color. Carefully white embossing with tissue to remove excess ink and reveal the resist.
I almost hated to cover up this background as it is so pretty! The camera just does not pick up the shimmer. I added a few pretties et voila…c’est fini.
Have a beautiful day!
