Carpe Diem

Carpe Diem…seize the day! I’ve always loved that saying since I first learned in it high school. It’s a freezing cold day here but it’s sunny and I plan to seize as much of today as I can. I’m starting two new classes at Jessicasprague.com and have a bunch of designing planned out to get done today as well. I’ve been up since 6 getting started. I love Mondays! I know not everyone does but I love getting back to work and back to routine after the weekend. Am I crazy? Perhaps!

Isn’t this sweet Saturday Evening Post image sweet?! I just love this little pirate!  I wonder what adventures he’s planning and how he plans to seize the day. I thought the sentiment went so well. While I love coloring, I love images that stand on their own as well and don’t have to be colored if you’re not of the mind to do so. For this design, I went for a distressed monochromatic look to make a fun “boy” card.

Anyone have special plans for the day? I’d love to hear how you plan to “seize the day”! 🙂 Take care and have a great one!
