Copic Cert. a design and some pics

I was having so much fun at the Copic class that I actually didn’t do all that much coloring! LOL I did learn some great tips though and manage to color one complete image that I made into a card when I got home. Truly…I don’t work that well creatively in a large group. I’m best in my own little space where I can find things… or hopefully find things and have not so much going on. This is actually Friday’s post but I felt like posting it early…so I did! Why not?

Tulip Thoughts

This design comes from this week’s CPS sketch #108. It’s been a while since I last played along and had fun with it. I took some liberties with it and turned some of the design onto an angle. Hope you like the fun variation. Sorry I have NO idea on the Copic colors. I just played with what was on the table.

I was super excited to finally get to meet Kimmie Reid. Now why did I have to go so far to meet her when she lives so close!? With Kim is Andrea and it was so fun to meet them both.Things are NEVER dull with Kim and Andrea! 🙂

I’ve designed with Sherrie Siemens and Lesley Langdon on the CHF team for quite a while now. They are super talented and so much fun in person. This was my first time meeting Sherrie. She’s the new Canadian Copic Certification class teacher and is perfect for the job.

Here’s Tara G and Kerry J hard at work with the Copic Airbrush system. It was so fun sitting with them all day, making new friends.

Of course I had to get a picture of Marianne Walker…the Copic Wonder Girl. She just kind of whips up drawings at the lunch table, just for fun. Wow! Here she is doin’ her thang….

So there’s a little peek into my super fab Tuesday  Copic Class.

Take care,

My First Digi Card

I’ve created a lot of different kinds of cards. Stamped, scrappy, clean, shabby, stitched, painted…whatever. I always love trying something new. I’d been wanting to try my hand out at creating a digital card design and last October seemed like a good time. So…why am I just getting around to sharing it with you now? Actually I can’t believe five months have gone by this quickly! And why have I NOT made another digi card? Hmmmm…  Anyhow, I designed this card for Paper Crafts magazine for a Father’s Day quote project. It’s in the May/June issue that has just been released. I was so excited to get my subscription copy in my mailbox on Friday just before we went away for the weekend. It was so relaxing to sit and spend some time relaxing at the cottage, drinking tea and enjoying each page. It’s a fabulous issue and if you like stitching on cards, there are some awesome ideas. I’m excited to have a few designs in that article as well. You can purchase this magazine at your local craft or bookstore or on-line here.

Whatever You Are

Ok…now this image may just look a little strange. I totally forgot to take a photo of the final design and so here is the card front in digi format. The black “frame” is NOT part of the card…I had to put in something there or the white card would just fade off into the white blog background.

My hubby was so kind to put up with me for this project. Stealing his stuff and then making him pose. I’m glad the photos were just of his hands as he was rolling his eyes at me! LOL I guess this card isn’t going to be much of a surprise this year  but hey…how much more personalized can you get?

Quick Tip: Try something new and stretch your creativity!

Hope your day is a good one!
