The Bee List

1069_-_the_bee_list-sotm.jpgHappy Monday! Happy June! I know I say this almost every month but can you believe it’s June already?! June always brings a busy few weeks here. High school exams, class trips, the end of school, picking strawberries, this year my third child’s Grade Eight Graduation. We had a great weekend, had a fun little birthday party and I was excited to finally get some flowers and tomatoes planted. My daughter and her friend were so sweet to help me out with it. Many hands make light work. 🙂

Today I have the winner drawn for the Reach 4 the Stars stamp set and the Astronomy Scrapblock. Thanks so much to all who commented. I really enjoyed reading all your lovely comments about what you love in nature. I used the random.org integer generator to pick a number. It’s number 32. Congrats Michelle!Send me your address and I’ll get the stamps in the mail shortly.

It’s not too often I forgo using at least a tiny bit of patterned paper but this design is totally stamped. I had a little fun pairing up stamped background with The Bee List. This stamp is June’s Stamp of the Month and while available after June, it’s on sale for the entire month. I designed this stamp to go with June’s Rummage Bin Release, Sweet Bee. Release date for Sweet Bee is Friday June 19th but I’ll be sharing a few peeks at it soon.

The Bee List is so easy to stamp. One single stamp to combine a few sentiments and the image. You can color it or not, depending on your mood. I think the tick boxes for the sentiments are kind of fun. I colored in this image very quickly using some Prismacolor colored pencils.

Quick Tip: While you really can’t see it in the photo…I coated the bees wings with a Sakura Clear Glaze Pen for a light shimmer. This helps the bees stand out. The GellyRoll Glaze pen comes in many fun colors but the clear one is fabulous for a clear embossed look that is so easy to control and apply.
