Sweet Bees

It’s Sweet Bee release day and just in case you haven’t seen the entire set…here it is. I hope you love all the different elements. This set was so much fun to design.

*****If some of the new, or old, Cornish Heritage Farms stamps are on your wish list…this is a great time to get them.   Why? All stamps are 10% off from today, Friday June 19th through Sunday June 21st. It’s the Start of Summer sale and what a great reason to celebrate. I love summer!*****

B-Day Gift Set

jks-b-day-gift-set.jpg

I did it! I finally finished part of my best friend’s birthday gift. Her birthday was in May! I’m more than a little late.Totally embarrassing but better late than never, right? I think I’m going to have to make another of these journals for myself. I need something to keep myself organized on those busssssy days. Hmmmm…that would be everyday. Seriously though…life does go much better when I make lists. I really need to get back into the habit.

Bee-u-t-ful Day Journal

While every day is busy, every day is beautiful too. I thought it would be a good idea to have that theme on a journal to remind us. Each day is a gift. This journal is a kraft bound journal from Michael’s I believe. It had a little print on the front but it was easy to cover up with the paper layers.

I love the colors purple and burgundy together. I remember a color challenge I participated in a few years ago. They paired them up and I thought…you have to be kidding me. But they work and I loved them together. It’s fun to pull out old ideas  and create new designs with them.

The chipboard pieces on these two designs are nested frames from Maya Road. The one on the card fits right into the journal one. To add some color and sparkle, I painted the chipboard with Distress Crackle paint and sprinkled them with glitter while wet. It’s quick to do and you don’t need adhesive.

Quick Tip: Custom colored corsage pins are super easy to do with a Copic Airbrush. Simply spray lightly while turning the pin. Allow to dry before using.
