Mad For Medallions

Medallions or rosettes are crazy hot right now and I’ve caught the bug. They are just so darn cute and fun to make.

Yesterday my latest paper crafting order came in the mail and in it was the new Tim Holtz Sizzlet Mini Paper Rosettes Die I had ordered. I loved the first one, the original Paper Rosette Die and so I couldn’t wait to try out the new smaller sized versions. The great thing is that they all coordinate and the two smallest sizes come on ONE die. Less storage and less cost makes me a happy girl.

So here’s the sweet little rosettes stacked.

And here’s the final card. I still have Picket Fence on my desk so today I thought I’d give the aqua, purple and red color combo a whirl. To give you an idea of size, this card measures 4″x7.5″. I love how you get different effects with the rosettes depending on what print the die cut paper has on it.

Supplies: kraft cardstock by Bazzill, Printed Transparencies Doilies & trinket Pin by Maya Road, twine, Fresh Air, Seize the Day,  & Al Fresco papers from Picket Fence line by Lily bee Design, buttons by Basic Grey & Jenni Bowlin, sentiment from Find Joy stamp set by Hero Arts, Jet Black Archival Ink by Ranger

This should give you an even better idea of exact sizes…

…and how they relate to each other.

These rosette dies work in a Big Shot with the extended Cutting Pads and Platform. You CAN make them work in the Cuttlebug but it is honestly a little tricky.

Happy Creating!
