A little damask

One of the things I was most fascinated with when starting rubber stamping was heat embossing. While I rarely use this technique now, it seemed to be the perfect one to try out this idea I had. Actually this design was inspired by the pink on black combo of a perfume box display I saw the other day. After much digging through my stash, I found the perfect powder to pull it off. I love the bold fun pinkalicious look and how it makes a great feminine birthday design.

One of the fun parts of this design came about from trying NOT to cover up all that pink embossing. The wide pink ribbon, another stash find, matched perfectly. After stamping my sentiment right on the ribbon it was easy to add to the design.

Quick Tip: layer black on black for a classic seamless look

 Take care!
