Some Friendly Kritters…

I just couldn’t resist today’s SCS sketch challenge paired up with this new Friendly Kritters release from Cornish Heritage Farms. As I mentioned yesterday…CHF has a new line out that is so darling! I had so much fun sitting watching my little guy play this morning and coloring away at this design. He thought it was super cute too and kept checking back to see how it was coming along. i think I may have to stamp out some images for the boys to color on. The little ones are still at the age where they want to be like mom and dad. The teenagers…well, that is another story. 😉

Today’s SCS sketch is a lovely one. I switched up the proportions slightly to make it work with this image and paired it up with some beautiful new cardstock that came in the mail today. Three boxes full. I have NO idea how the postal lady carried them all stacked to my door. She said she got her workout for the day! LOL I love brown, blue, and green together so I paired up Frosted Teal, Frosted Kiwi and Birchtone Dark Prismatics cardstock for a fresh look. I kept the stamping and embellishments simple and clean as I wanted to focus on the coloring of the image and the sketch had lots going on already.

My Helpful Chipmunks image is stamped in Pitch Black Adirondack ink onto Natural Smooth Prism cardstock. To color my image, I pulled out my Copic markers. Have you seen Debbie Olsen’s Copic coloring tutorial?! absolutely fabulous! Debbie rocks! After coloring my image, I stitched around the image and then added a simple embellishment…acrylic flowers from American Crafts held in with a rhinestone brad.

Have a fabulous day!
