Sweet and Simple…

I had some of these stamps out last night for another design that I’ll share with you in a few days. It was getting late but I just wanted to try out this simple little design that popped into my head. I thought the bunny might be darling for a baby girl card. What do you think?

Baby Girl Bunny Design

For this sweet little card, I started out by using Di Hickman’s card sketch #5 from last week. I’ve been wanting to use it since I saw it but where DOES the time go each day?! I thought it would be fun to pair up the sketch with my bunny idea and my new Basic Grey Two Scoops 6×6 paper pad. The soft pink and apricot color combo is so pretty.

The little bunny is the Running Rabbit stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms and is stamped in Salmon Adirondack ink. Over top to add some subtle interest I used my Spanish Script backgrounder inked with Pink Sherbert Adirondack inkand finger-walked across the back off my image to get an uneven faded look. The little baby girl sentiment is also from Cornish Heritage Farms and is from the new Classic Essential Expressions set. A stapled ruffled May Arts ribbon, a Prima flower and a fun Autumn Leaves Button tied with embroidery floss finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by! šŸ™‚

Flocked Valentines…

This is a fun little card in some not so traditional valentine’s colors. A dark red paired up with a rust color and some dots including blue give this design a cleaner, more masculine look. This Heart to Heart stamp set from Lizzie Anne Designs was so much fun to use. In the middle of the heart, I used my Sakura Glue pen to color it in and then press in some flocking for a warm fuzzy look.

I don’t have too much more to say about this design. Pretty simple straight-forward layout and stamping. If you missed my flocking post a couple days ago …just click here. The flocking used here is Camel by Cornish Heritage Farms.

It’s going to be a soggy day here. There’s a two hour fog delay for the school buses and I’m praying they won’t cancel school. Yes…it is pretty foggy! I can’t see the lights of the houses North of me as I write this, this early morning. Sigh…and I was hoping to take a little trip to my local stamp store. I haven’t been there in months! šŸ™ Have a wonderful Tuesday!
