Last week I taught my most recent class and since I’d only shown you a peek at it before, here’s the whole thing. If those bright and fun Delovely patterns don’t make you think of sunshine, I’m not sure what will.

This class is for a two page layout that is love themed and great for wedding, anniversary and special occasion photos. Stitching, distressing, and a silk ribbon rose make this layout special.

what’s up

I’ve decided that I love teaching scrapbooking. Two classes down, I’ve had a lot of fun, met some great people, learned lots and had a wonderful time. I’ve looked at the paper crafting industry in a lot of different ways. As a newbie, a customer, an addict, a designer, a design team member, a staff member, a product designer and now as an instructor as well. It’s really interesting to see the many different sides of things and each experience is one that helps me learn and grow.

Also, I’m so excited (and I hope you don’t mind my sharing) that one of my layouts is in the Basic Grey June newsletter. Gasp! I {heart} Basic Grey!

Monday, June 28th
6:30 – 8:30

We’ll be having fun with circles, ric rak and the Delovely line by Cosmo Cricket to create a summer themed 12×12 layout. We’ll be continuing the techniques onto an accompanying card as well.

tonight’s the night

I’m sure excited about tonight. And of course, if I’m honest (and I always try to be) a little nervous too. Tonight I’m teaching my first scrapbooking class so I’ll do my best to get over my shyness and teach what I know. I’ll let you know how it went. I’ve also just finished up designing the project for my next class on Wednesday June 9th.

We’ll be using fussy cutting and distress techniques with a travel theme on a 12×12 layout. We’ll be continuing the techniques onto an accompanying card as well.
