Peaceful Snow Tag

One of my favorite things about Christmas is the peace and joy it brings. Many times it gets lost in the hustle and bustle of the season and the crazy flurry of preparations. I encourage each of you to carve out some time to sit down and enjoy some quiet time thinking about the true meaning of Christmas.

The Ellen Hutson design team and guests have been getting ready for the holidays with the 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Touch. I hope you’ve been enjoying them for the past week. Sorry I’m a little behind in linking up to the creative party as we’ve been sick. Better late than never though, right?! And there’s still time to leave comments and play along with the tag challenge if you haven’t already. Some seriously awesome giveaways so make sure you don’t miss it! Here’s the link to my tag project.

Wishing you peace, hope & joy this Christmas season!

color pop holidays

If you haven’t already started getting ready for the holidays…now’s the time to seriously rev things up. With just over four weeks left, the countdown has begun.

I don’t know about you but I’m really feeling a little behind this year. Yes, I do have quite a bit of shopping completed but absolutely no decorating or other prep done. And VERY few cards! I’m not sure what happened this year. Usually I have a ton made by now but it just hasn’t happened. It’s been a very busy fall…entire year for that matter. I think the key to staying sane through the holidays this year is just to take it one day at a time and not to try and do it all.

Perhaps what I need to get me in the Christmas mood is a little snow. It’s always so festive and what looks better with those holiday lights than a night white lawn and flurries in the air?!

If you like Christmas lights, I hope you’ll like this fun color pop holiday card. It reminds me of lights on a cold winter night. I’m in the CLASSroom sharing this card and fun technique. I hope you’ll join me for the tutorial here.

What do you do to get in the holiday spirit? I’d love to know!

Have a fabulous weekend!

Crime tape, pumpkins, spiderwebs and all kinds of ghoulish decor are popping up in the neighbourhood. With Halloween around the corner, I thought I’d create a fun Halloween card design for today’s post in the CLASSroom.

I’ve also tried out a really great new product that I’m really excited about. Stop by the CLASSroom and join me for more photos and the tutorial.

i {heart} wood

The wood and woodgrain trend is so going strong and I’m lovin’ on it. I love the simplicity of wood and its warmth. It’s also fabulous for stamping on.

Today I’m in the CLASSroom sharing some wood stamping tips and this pretty card. Why not join me?

Pretty Paper

Paper, paper, paper.

It’s the basis of paper crafting so obviously, it’s a must-have. But all those wonderful colors and prints….well, I just can’t get enough.

My favorite way to gets lots of color and pattern cost effectively is to purchase 6×6 paper pads. It is unbelievable how many cards and small projects you can get from one pack.

Today I’m in the CLASSroom sharing 6 simply pretty designs from a 6×6 paper pad. I could have created at least 4 times that but I just had to stop somewhere. I hope you’ll join me for some quick inspiration!

Happy Friday!
