Happy 2013!

Here is to starting off the year 2013 in a fun way!

Part of starting the new year off well for me was to start it by getting back into the crafting mood. It’s been wonderful preparing for, and celebrating Christmas with my family but I’m excited to change gears and start creating.

I’ve spent a few days trying to get the craft room back in order after some CHA marathon creating. It always feels so much better to find a place for everything. So here’s a card I put together using some leftovers and bits and pieces I found while cleaning up.

It’s always fun to create a card by just layering things together. The black, pink, yellow and green colour scheme comes from the Crate Paper patterned paper.

I created my own custom accent using a butterfly chipboard piece. Instead of painting or inking it, I coloured the chipboard using a Black Copic Marker and then applying a coat of Ranger Crackle Accents on it. I love the shiny crackled look once it dries.
