How about a card to brighten your day?
I love warm colors this time of year, just to put a bit of pop back into the dreary late winter landscape. And of course, the pink and orange color combo is one of my faves and just works perfectly with these stamps. A little funky retro look to it.
I’ve used this darling umbrella before. It’s from the Avocado Arts Wishes and Kind Thoughts stamp set, as is the sentiment and little hearts. It’s such a classic icon image and I can think of so many ways to use it.
Today it’s paired up with a little sneak peek at the next Avocado Arts stamp set, Springtime Celebration. I tell you…you are going to LOVE it! Super cute! I have a few cards made already that I can’t wait until I can share them as I just couldn’t resist working ahead.
To add shading to my umbrella, I simply when over the creases with a Desert Sand Memento Marker. It’s a dye marker but it blends right into the colored cardstock beautifully. When you apply it, it will look a little dark as the cardstock is wet but don’t worry, it will fade nicely once dry.
