A little bit of this…

…a little bit of that…

I have lots to share in today’s post but first I wanted to thank you all for all the lovely comments on my new line, Victoria Park. I am beyond thrilled that you like it and your comments and support mean so much. Thank you!

I’ve been a bit delayed in thanking you as I’m just catching up after a week away with my hubby. We’ve waited 22 years to go on a vacation together and it was beyond wonderful. This was our favorite spot every morning.

Yes, it really IS better in the Bahamas.

CHA is in full swing right now in Anaheim. It’s so much fun to see all the great inspiration online from the show. I have a few favorite Facebook places that I keep checking to see what’s up… Paper Crafts Magazine, Lily Bee Design and Maya Road. I was excited to see the Lily Bee Booth and my Victoria Park line here.

One place you won’t want to miss is Moxie Fab World today. I’m so thrilled to see my Lily Bee Head Over Heels line featured as today’s Moxie Monday post. Cath is giving away the complete line of Head Over Heels to two lucky winners. Stop by to leave a comment and good luck!

Before I left on vacation I was in full creative swing making a myriad of projects to send to CHA. This is one of the card designs I created for Maya Road. It features their darling Spool Sentiments stamp set and lots of sweet Maya Road accents. Did you notice the twine? I love the look of baker’s twine but find most of it a little limp for my taste. No longer! Maya Road has just released the most awesome three ply heavy baker’s twine that is amazing!

Finally…I need to pick a winner of the Stamp It! 3 Ways issue from Paper Crafts magazine. The random.org number generator picked number 46. Congrats Charlene!

Sweet Showers

Spring brings rainy days and showers. Umbrellas make darling stamped images for spring but how about flipping them over and using them for a baby shower design instead?

Today’s design features the latest Avocado Arts stamp set, Wishes and Kind Thoughts. Today I’ve used the sweet umbrella as the focal image and paper pieced it together for some color and dimension. The sentiment banner is created with their Avocado Type stamp set which is perfect for creating any sentiment you wish.

Here’s a peek at the detail…

To paper piece this design, I stamped it once onto the white cardstock and then three more times. Twice on the yellow patterned paper and then once onto some kraft cardstock to create the handle. By attaching the dimensional layer last and just adhering it along the bottom edge, I was able to fill it with tiny flowers for a sweet look. Each of the stamped dots was colored in with a yellow dye marker and then accented with tiny dabs of Glossy Accents.

Some of the Avocado Arts Design Team have a little inspiration to share with you today. These girls never fail to inspire me so take a peek…

I’ll be back later on today with the winner of the latest Stamp It 3 Ways issue. Stay tuned!

Happy Monday!

Stamp It! 3 Ways Blog Hop

So sorry for the delay on this post! It was meant to prepublish at 6 am this morning as I am traveling today. I hope you’ll forgive me for the glitch!

I’m very excited to be part of this Stamp It! 3 ways blog hop. Working on this new Paper Crafts issue was a joy. Stamping is one of my favorite things as there are so many possibilities. The new Stamp It 3 Ways Issue is sure to inspire you and is full of fabulous stamping ideas. Check out the new issue here.

One of my favorite things to stamp on is canvas. To create a stamped background with lots of texture, I’ve stamped the fleur de lis stamp repeatedly onto a piece of Sticky Back Canvas. It’s also stamped again onto a chipboard circle as a focal point.

The patterned paper used on this line is a peek at the new And beautiful Buttercup line.

Id love to giveaway a copy of this great stamping issue. I hope youll take the time to leave a comment on THIS post for a chance to win. The comment deadline isSunday, January 29th at midnight. Good luck!

Please stop by each of these talented stamper’s blogs for some more inspiration and more chances to win…

It’s Preview Time!

It’s that super exciting time of the year again in the paper crafting world. I’m always enjoying all the fabulous sneak peeks of soon-to-be released products.

Today I have two links to share with you. Have you been to the Maya Road Blog yet? The incredible new lineup of embellishments has me itching to create. You’ll find a card design there that I’ve created and haven’t shared here yet using an absolutely darling stamp set. I do believe there might be some giveaways going on there too. Just sayin.

Today starts a week of sneak peeks at the Lily Bee blog.Today’s line is absolutely beautiful. I think you just may want to stop by tomorrow too. I just may have a little extra personal interest in that one. 😉

Have a fabulous day!

color my world

How about a rainbow of color to brighten up a January day?

A spectrum of color is always fun to create with paint. Want to add a little extra pizazz? Try brushing on a rainbow of Distress Crackle Paints.

I just adore the texture!

When you’re applying a lot of paint to paper, you’ll want to make sure the paper you’ve chosen is sturdy and can handle moisture. For this card I’ve used a heavy watercolor paper to prevent buckling. I love how the Distress Crackle Paints all come with a little built-in paint brush to make cleanup a breeze. Just put your lid back on and you’re done!

Have a beautiful day!

Round the Clock

Stamps and stains and ink and canvas are the basis for today’s card. It’s another love note and it’s romantic vintage style is one that I love creating in.

It’s time for another CLASSroom post and today I’m sharing this card there with step outs. I hope you’ll join me here!

Have a fabulous weekend!
