Canvas Smile

Canvas in any form has me fascinated. There are so many wonderful ways to incorporate it into paper crafting. Last year I went to the fabric store and purchased a couple metres of canvas. I’ve created a pillow, a wreath, and a myriad of paper crafting projects. I love canvas as you don’t even have to cut it but can tear it on grain and get a fabulous distressed edge. Today’s card accent is created with a small scrap of canvas, a Cosmo Cricket Gluber and some chipboard and embellishments I had on my desk. If you’re not sure what a Gluber is, well, it’s a gigantic glue dot that is perfect for creating your own flowers with.

To create the canvas flower, simply start at the outside edge and press and pleat canvas around into a circle. Finish the center with a button or chipboard or whatever you can think of.
