pair of pockets

I have this thing for pockets. I hate clothes without them. Pockets are such useful things. They are even perfect for card making.

Creating cards with pockets is so easy and adds a fun element to your designs. Use them for storing memorabilia, gift cards, sentiment inserts or whatever else you can think of.

Today I have two different pocket card designs to share using the This & That line from Lily Bee Design. The prints and colors are so vintage and amazing looking.

My first card is a pocket made from a regular 4.25″x5.5″ card with the front flap folded down on an angle.

This second card takes a die cut window layer and turns it into a pocket by stitching around the outside of the layer and not adhering it in the inside. You can tuck all manner of sweet embellishments, tickets and sentiments inside. So fun and easy!

Supplies (for both cards): Kraft cardstock by Bazzill, sewing machine, This & That line patterned papers and stickers by Lily Bee Design, Wood Bingo Motifs & Trinket Pins by Maya Road, Labels die by Spellbinders, twine, red buttons by Jenni Bowlin, circle punch, Tickets, Library cards and owl transparencies by Maya Road

You can also find these projects on the Lily Bee Design Blog. It’s full of great ideas for using the Lily Bee product lines.

Happy creating!
