You are

A shabby little card from me today. I’m  slowly getting the hang of using the laptop. I now have all my files and photos (I hope) backed up. Dare I say that this was actually a good thing in the end as it has forced me to go through my files, organize them in one place, purge what isn’t needed, back things up properly and start fresh. I will be a happy girl once this is all done.

My Everything

Getting Creative

I’m excited to share today’s layout with you. I made it last week before all the computer issues. I’m still dealing with them btw. I thought the best way to deal with it was to hit the beach. Hubby had a couple days off and we made the most of them with our kids. It’s almost the end of summer so our priority right now is making the most of it and spending time with the kids before they go back to school.  My oldest son has also been helping me back everything up and tomorrow he’s off so the big wipe and reinstall will occur. I always hate having to do that. I’m always worried I’ll lose something important.

This summer my daughter has gotten into quilting. I’m so proud of her achievements. Today’s layout is a way to remember that.

This layout also uses a sketch as it’s base. This week’s Creative Scrapper’s sketch and I know that Sketch 118 is one you’ll want to try.

bridal elegance

Summer is the season for weddings and recently I needed a shower gift and card. I decided to go with a simple and elegant style using very little product. Sometimes a little goes a long way.

If you use beautiful embellishments, why not make them the main attraction on the card. They can get lost in an over-the-top design. In this design I’ve used two beautiful Zva Creative embellishments along with a rub-on and a plain white cardstock card.

It’s summer.

It’s Saturday.

I’m simply happy.

Don’t you love gingham? This sweet card uses gingham patterned paper from Jillibean Soup and Echo Park. The sweet felt flowers (FL01CB114 & FL01CB115) are from Zva Creative as are the beautiful single crystals CR01CB101 that are the flower centers.

Quick Tip: the green Echo Park gingham comes on the diagonal. Isn’t it a fun look? You can cut regular gingham or plaid on a 45° angle to create your own.

Have a simply wonderful day…

sweet sunshine

you are my sunshine,

my only sunshine,
