Simply Saturday…a smile and a peek

Crocodile Smile

And here’s the first of my sneak peeks! This set is particularly dear to me as I’ve always loved sewing. My grandmother had a treadle sewing machine in her farm house and I was always fascinated by the mechanics and how she could create the most beautiful projects on such a basic machine. I taught myself to sew as a child and came back to it with a passion after the birth of my first child. Little shorts, baby rompers, wall-quilts and then smocked dresses after my daughter arrived. While I don’t do much fabric stitching these days, I rarely put my machine away as I always love to add stitching to my paper crafts projects. This set combines them both. 🙂

For this card I combined the very beautiful and fabric inspired June Bug paper with lots of stitching and a couple stamps from my new set.

Quick Tip: Stamp on twill tape for a unique look.
