It’s here! Release day for On the Desk. I’m pretty excited about this set. It’s a mid-sized set so that makes it a little easier on the pocket book as well. I have a couple more designs to share with you today and the gallery has a lot of great samples. If you’re looking for inspiration…check them out here.
Vintage Airmail
I have to give credit to my daughter for inspiration behind this design. She said Mom…you need to use that Air Mail stamp with a bird. It was a fun play on words and I had a lot of fun creating this design. It’s a little wild and busy to be sure but it was a fun and funky card to make. The main bird image is a Heidi Swapp Invisibles Chipboard piece. It comes as white glossy chipboard with a resist pattern right on it. I sponged it with Broken China Distress Ink and allowed it to sink in. I then stamped it with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and the various images.
edited to add: Heidi Swapp Invisibles chipboard is available from Ellen Hutson
Quick Tip: Allow ink to sink in well to the chipboard for at least a minute before wiping off the resist areas. This helps prevent smearing. As you can see…I wish I’d known this before starting! Oh well!
