Simply Saturday, Simply Ornamental

I love simple designs. There is a timeless beauty to them. I think it lets you focus better on the design and highlights the elements you are working with. Today’s sneak peek is a simple design that focuses on one of my favorite images in the Ornamental Beauty set. Actually…this is the first stamp I created for this set and then designed the rest around it. I’m really thrilled with how it came out and it was definitely worth all the work I put into it. While you can’t see the middle of it because of the popped up sentiment layer, the ornamental pattern goes right through to the middle allowing you to stamp it on its own.

Beautiful Kindness

Here’s a little close-up… the sentiment punches perfectly with a 1 3/8″ punch. I swiped the edges of the Kraft cardstock with white ink to define them a little.

Quick Tip: When making a lot of cards the same, keeping the design and layers simple cuts down on the work. Less can be more. 🙂

I’ll be back tomorrow with another sneak peek.

Have a simply wonderful Saturday!
