Roses from the Heart

Sometimes I make so many designs, I forget to share some of my favorites with you! Today’s design is one I created in January and was so soft and easy to create. The Thomas Kinkade A Perfect Yellow Rose image is a great stamp for so many occasions. I wanted a very soft, ethereal look for this card so I faded off the edges of this image when stamping. To do this, I ink and brayer the rubber stamp and then lightly blot the edges with a tissue. This absorbs most of the ink and allows it to fade off.

If you love the Thomas Kinkade line of stamps, I have some news for you! Cornish Heritage Farms is having a Thomas Kinkade Blitz starting this Thursday evening, February 19th. If you’re looking for a great way to brighten up your winter weekend, pull out your TK stamps and join us for some fun chat, prizes, challenges and tips. We’d love to have you join us so mark your calendar and check out the details here.

This design was colored in with Pebbles Inc. chalks. To keep the design soft, I simply adhered and stitched my image layer onto a white cardstock base and stitched for definition.

Quick Tip: Don’t be afraid to only ink up part of your image for a different look.

Have a beautiful day!
