Oh the possibities….

There are many times in our lives when it seems like we are in an impossible situation. It’s so easy to focus on the seemingly insurmountable circumstances and get totally mired in it. If you having been reading my blog since last January, you’ll know that I choose a word of the year… {embrace}. This year after much thought I’ve decided on the word Focus to be my word for 2009. Focusing on what’s important, what’s necessary and not getting bogged down with insignificant details. Focusing on the big picture and not the immediate trials and also…remembering that with God all things are possible. I’m so excited about all the possibilities this new year brings.

I love this beautiful new stamp set from CHF called Scripture Essentials I. I used one of my favorite sentiments for this design although they are all fabulous. Check them out!

I’m also sharing with you a sneak peek from a brand new line from Cornish Heritage Farms. Shady Tree Studio is a gorgeous line of sketched florals and nature images that you are going to love.

These flowers work so well with a multitude of mediums. For this design I found that I loved playing up on the sketchy look with colored pencils. They are fabulous for coloring in images stamped on patterned paper. The layout sketch for this design came from this week’s Sketch Challenge at SCS. I actually reversed which panel was higher to balance the sentiment better.

Wishing you a year of possibilites!
