Something fishy….

jks-fishy-smile-slice.jpg

Something fishy around here. 😉 Two posts today! When I saw today’s technique lover’s challenge on Splitcoaststampers…I just had to play along. The glitter strips idea is just fabulous and I knew they’d work perfectly with the new Ocean Friends stamp set. After I created this card, I found out some super fun news! If you’ve loved all the sneak peeks of Kim Hughes darling new stamp sets…make sure you pop over to the CHF Creative Blog for a chance to win all FOUR sets. Now how fun would that be?!!!

Here’s another fishy card as I just can’t put down this set. It’s darling!

Quick Tip: Use a Score-Pal to score even increments across the paper you wish to adhere the sticky strip adhesive to. It makes it super easy to get perfect spacing and straight lines.

Have a great day and don’t forget to smile!

In the Valley

I love this sentiment… It’s so true! It’s only from the valley that the mountains seem high. No matter who we are there are times that we spend in the valley. From the highs of joy to the lows of struggle or sadness. I’ve been reminded lately while doing a Bible study (Stepping Up by Beth Moore) that without the valleys, we don’t have as much appreciation for the mountains or high points of our experience. As I start this new year, I’m committed to stepping up on my journey and appreciating the blessings along the path. No matter where you are in your journey, take time to look up.
