simply saturday, a little dotty

I have to tell you…sometimes is it the simplest cards that are my favorite. There’s not a huge amount of stamping here, just a lot of dots, a sweet image and some fun product. One of those just for fun cards that seem to make themselves. Actually, the two pieces of patterned paper were scraps on my desk that kind of fell together and I thought…hmmm…those are kind of cute. Wonder if they would work for a cute baby card. I went looking for a baby set but instead came across the Sweet Spring stamp set still on my desk. The welcome and the sheep just begged to be used on a baby design. I love it when that happens. A stamp set that is designed for one thing but can be used for so many others. 🙂

I’m not quite sure why but I love dots for baby cards. Also…sweet, soft textures. The felt button and pom pom trim just beg to be touched.

Quick Tip: Use white craft ink to swipe edges and highlight embossed dots texture.

Have a sweet day!
