Half-time

Well…this is NOT a football post. Actually this is a milestone for me. Today is our 19th anniversary and we’ve been married half of my life. I guess that gives my age away but I’m really not one of the people who hide it. While we’ve had hard times, we’ve had lessons, we’ve also had many, many joys that far outweigh them. I know I am incredibly blessed.

OK I will admit this “recent” photo is a couple years old. I really wanted to create this layout today to remember my thoughts and I just couldn’t find anything more recent of us together.

Take care!

Love birds

A simple little design for today! I thought it would be fun to pair up this new embossing folder with these darling little love birds. I’m trying to get caught up after a wonderful but very busy Thanksgiving weekend.

Some quick notes:

  • Scrapblocks™ patterned paper is perfect for stamping on as well as embossing. Try sanding the edges and the embossing to let the white core shine through.
  • instead of matting my image layer, I used an edge distresser to make it stand out.
