The Delay…

I just wanted to pop in and tell you about the blog candy delay. The whole story is this. Some new server upgrades rendered some of our blogs without categories and a blog roll. It was quite the surprise to wake up a couple mornings ago and find it all gone. I’m  happy to say, the experts have been hard and work and restored all the categories and my blogroll. To do this…I had to save all my recent posts and then re-upload them. The comments will be restored….it is just taking some time. So….until then, I want to be fair and wait on those other comments being restored before I draw a number for my winner. Thanks so much for your patience!  I’m hoping I’ll be able to announce it tomorrow evening. I’m going to be away most of the day tomorrow so don’t want you to be checking all day. I DO have a blog post for Simply Saturday tomorrow morning…so check back in for that too. Hope you have a great weekend!

F is for Friendship

F is for Friendship. I created this friendship card yesterday for today’s post. Yay! I finally got most of my stamps in the mail. So much fun to play with new rubber! This design uses the new Shady Daisy Backgrounder stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms. I just love the big gorgeous daisy. Backgrounder stamps are so much fun to work with. I’ve always been a huge fan. If you like backgrounders, you’ll want to stay tuned for our CHF Backgrounder Blitz starting next Friday. The Blitz is a week’s worth of challenges for you to play along with. Best of all, we want you to join in on the fun and play along too for chances to win prizes. We’re even letting you know what they are ahead of time so you can fit it into your schedule. Is that great or what? Check it out at Backgrounder Blitz.

For this design, I paired up two backgrounders, Shady Daisy and Spanish Script with my For the Men stamp set from The Rummage Bin line. Who would have thought a masculine set would have such stunning sentiments? I just love all Lesley’s designs! The daisy is simply ink up with Versamagic Chalk ink in a soft aqua color and then stamped. After allowing to dry, the sentiments were stamped in Burnt Umber Palette ink.

On Monday…I had a fun trip to my local scrapbook store and picked up some beautiful new My Mind’s Eye Paper. I made it into a card base and of course…I had to stamp on it! The left side is stamped with the Spanish Script backgrounder and a flourish from the Beautiful set decorates the right.

A few embellishments finish it off….a Prima flower, Autumn Leaves button and Creative Impressions ribbon accent the left. To the right…some Doodlebug die cut strips are clipped on with a Making Memories clip.

Have a fabulous weekend!

P.S. I’ll be back soon with the winner of the blog candy soon.
