The Open Gate…a Thomas Kinkade Sneak Peek

I just adore working with these Thomas Kinkade stamps by Cornish Heritage Farms. This monochromatic design is a sneak peek at the new releases. Release date is set for tomorrow and you are just going to LOVE them! I’ll back back tomorrow with some more designs so stay tuned! 🙂

When I first got a peek at the new releases…I immediately thought of my good friend Trudee when I saw this stamp. I said to Lisa…Trudee will love this…you need to do a sentiment Follow Your Bliss with it. I found out later…Trudee HAD already suggested it. I’m not surprised…it suits her perfectly!

Follow Your Bliss Monochromatic Design

I wanted to create one monochromatic design for this release. The Thomas Kinkade designs work extremely well in monochromatic and are perfect for elegant but quicker cards. If you are stamping in monochromatic…don’t be afraid to experiment with different colors…I love the different looks you can achieve, just by changing the colors. 🙂 This design uses only one ink…Palette Hybrid Ink by Stewart Superior and one cardstock…Natural Smooth by Prism. Image edges are sponged with ink and then layered onto some more natural cardstock that has the edges distressed with my Heidi Swapp edge distressor. To create the background, I stamped part of the card base with Spanish Script backgrounder, also by Cornish Heritage Farms. I love the look of breaking up a design by only stamping part of it with a backgrounder.

To add my sentiment…I actually broke it up to highlight the word Follow. Follow was inked and stamped onto a punched circle that fits this piece of We R Memory Keepers hardware. The frame is tied with a piece of Vanilla May Arts ribbon and the follow highlighted with a rhinestone sticker by Making Memories. After cleaning the stamp well…the rest of the sentiment was stamped onto a small rectangle of cardstock and tucked under the main image. As a final accent… I added a little floral photo corner from the same hardware set and added a little bling to the flower center.

Hope you have enjoyed this sneak peek! Make sure you stop by Cornish Heritage Farms tomorrow and take a look at the gorgeous new stamps and all the fabulous designs the Cornish Heritage Farms Thomas Kinkade Design Team have been creating. I guarantee…you won’t be disappointed!

Some More Silhouettes…

Wow…I’m just having so much fun with both this stamp set and this Reverse Image Stamping Technique. I guess you can probably tell that! 😉 And so…I paired up this cool technique with a few of my favorite things for another design.

Silhouette Best Wishes

This design uses the same reverse stamping technique that I shared with you on Saturday. Cut N Dry Foam is this week’s product spotlight at Cornish Heritage Farms and if you’ve missed it…I wrote a tutorial to go along with this technique. You can check it out HERE. 🙂

Make sure you come back tomorrow. 🙂 I’ve been hard at work on some new releases! Just love these new stamps and I can’t wait to share. I know you’ll love them too!
