My Wishlist…

I just love my new Stampin Up catalogue. I can’t believe there is now going to be TWO a year coming out! Should be great for my pocketbook! LOL I love the new Baroque Motifs set! (page 136) Already have that one and it is a winner!

My Wishlist (so far…. 😉 )

  1. Fabulous Flowers page 102
  2. Tres Chic page 136
  3. Boatloads of Love page 53
  4. Wanted page 88
  5. Garden Whimsy page 101
  6. Office Accoutrement – I debated over this one in the mini and now I’m giving in! 🙂 page 114
  7. Ginormous Chipboard page 180
  8. Cerise, Charbon & Outlaw designer papers page 170,172
  9. All the new inks and cardstocks page 165
  10. Rhinestone Ice brads page 189

I love all the new Hostess sets! So not fair when I’m trying to cut back a little! I wish I could get that Garden Sihouettes….SO pretty! If anyone gets tired of theirs….let me know! 😉 I haven’t even looked at the new Christmas sets yet either! What I am a little disappointed with though, is there just doesn’t seem to be anything to replace Petal Prints. Loved that set! Especially when misted. There seems to be a lot of repetition with set that are very clean and graphic in style or doodle style. I love the new Baroque style but I know I’m going to miss how very flexible Petal Prints was! I am wondering at the addition of Big Flowers and Little Flowers. Super cute but so much like the Little Pieces and Big Pieces. I also think that Thing Happy Thoughts (page 118) is super cute but very similar to Seeing Spots…I really don’t need both!

Also great is the new Crop-a-dile that Stampin Up sells….you know I love that! I also spy a Tonic guillotine paper cutter! I just bought one about a month ago and love it! You’ll be seeing more about that in the upcoming days!

The new chipboard and embellishments are very cool! I think it is a great move on Stampin Up’s part so that the demo’s can use them for workshops. I’ll probably stick with my Primas….LOL….I have enough of a supply! 😉

What else do I think is cool? That just may make my future wishlist?

  • Scallop Circle punch page 183
  • photo corner punch page 182
  • Designer label punch page 182 (now that it is out of the box!)
  • Pick a petal brass template page 187 (but there is NO way I’m paying $29.95 Cdn for it!)
  • Punch Pals page 43 – Super cute for Christmas!
  • Refuge and Strength page 70 (love these verses…perfect for someone going through difficult times…I know!)
  • Priceless page 117
  • Zoofari page 90 – I just know Lindsey & Michele are going to force me to buy this 😉
  • En Francais page 137
  • Sanded page 138
  • Friend By Definition page 138

Have you checked out the new catalogue yet? Basically from what I’m seeing the style is solid images for the bulk of the catalogue. There is not going to be too much coloring going on THIS year! My humble opinion is…. great catalogue, great new products,  but I would have added a little more variation. 😉 Of course….they didn’t consult with me. LOL

Now it’s your turn! What do you love in the new catalogue? I’d love to know! 🙂

Color Challenge!

I love color challenges! Wish I had more time to play every week but I do them as I can! Today’s color challenge seemed to be a good way to ease back into stamping mode with a cute little card. I have a few deadlines to meet and I thought this would be a fun warm-up. Today’s color challenge CC121… Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip & Old Olive…is a darling combo pulled from the new Basic Grey Infuse line. I can’t wait to get mine! I wish Canada Post wasn’t SO slow!

I decided that my new Daisy D Baby Girl Nursery line in the soft pinks would work really well for this color challenge. Love the dots. I was inspired to use this darling My Favorite Things stamp by my friend Michele Boyer who has been designing the cutest cards with their stamps lately! You need to check it out!

Good Friends…Priceless!

I just love the sentiment on this card! It is such a blessing to have good friends! This color combo works well with this girlie sentiment, paper and image. To add to the feminine look, after watercoloring the image, I added some stitching and a cute little Prima flower. I just adore velvet ribbon and this olive ribbon from May Arts is gorgeous. I added a little Hodgepodge Hardware buckle to it to resemble a belt. I love a shabby chic look and these colors were perfect for that style. To create this look…I distressed the edges by sponging them with Chocolate chip ink and “ruffled up” the patterned paper with my fingers. Quick and fun! And I am back stamping again! Yippee! 🙂

Supply List:

Cardstock: chocolate Chip, whisper white, Old Olive – Stampin Up

Patterned Paper: Nursery Baby Girl – Daisy D
