A gorgeous morning…

It is a beautiful morning here today. I can hear the birds singing and there is a lovely breeze, perfect for cooling the house. Pefectly beautiful!

 I don’t have a card design to share with you today, but I thought I’d answer a few questions that were asked when I did my blog giveaway in May. It has been so busy, I haven’t taken the time to answer them!

Jodene asked… My question is do you carry a journal with you? So if an idea comes to you, you can write it down right away. I don’t and the other day I had an idea and had to write it down on the outside of my checkbook cover.

Answer: This is so funny because that is usually exactly what I end up doing! I keep saying to myself…I NEED to carry a notebook. I always forget though and the chequebook cover, odd bills, apointment cards…anything I can find in my large purse has been used to scribble ideas down on. I love how you can find inspiration everywhere you go. I find the Mall to be an especially good place. So many colors, styles, signs, etc. for inspiration!

Janet said… I would like to know what work goes into being on a design team.

Answer: This is quite hard to answer as every design team is different. I am only on one but from conversations I’ve had with other designers, there seems to be quite a broad spectrum of requirements. Usually there would be a contract or some sort of agreement for how long of a term you were committed for. For that term, you would have assignments for the month. Specifics sets or ideas that the company was asking you to produce a design for. You may also be asked to submit designs for publication, make samples for CHA or other events, that sort of thing.

Michelle asked… Do you think you’ll ever run out of challenges for the Ways to Use It Challenge?

Answer: I hope not! But quite possibly, yes. I love hosting the Ways to Use it Challenge and hope I don’t run out of ideas in the near future. I do have a list I work from and jot down ideas as they come. Looking at it right now…we should be good for a while yet! I’ve also started doing rerun challenges every third week. It has been over two years since we started donig the challenges and there are a lot of great past ideas to choose from. For many of them, I’m really happy to give them another whirl. There are so many new ideas out there and I have also grown as a stamper since I last did them. It can be fun to look back to see what you did back then and what you are designing now.
