Papertrey Ink Stamps are in Da House!

Yippee! Great mail day here today! I ordered the two latest Papertrey Ink stamp sets last week as a birthday present to me and they just arrived. They are adorable! Busy day here but I just had to ink some of them up and have a little fun making this little card. If for some strange reason you haven’t checked out Nicole Heady’s fabulous new stamp line, now is the time. Here is the link! This card uses the brand new Green Thumb stamp set. I have to tell you…the clear acrylic stamps are fabulous for lining up and I just love the packaging. Very cool boxes wrapped beautifully and little CD cases for storage.

For this card, I wanted a fresh clean look and also wanted to try out the reverse masking technique again as it has been a long time. I first stamped the little square from SU’s Simple Shapes set onto the 4.25″ square white card. I then heat embossed it the SU’s Irridescent Ice embossing powder for a little sparkle. It makes the cutest little border! I then took a post-it note and stamped the square shape on the middle of it. With small detail scissors, I cut out the center of the circle and layered it over my embossed square. I then used the post-it note as a reverse mask and stamped the inside of the square. After I stamped my flowers, I removed the mask and stamped the sentiment. For a quick little embellishment, I added a small Prima flower from the Lucid Collection. I bought mine from Jacksonbelle. Ta da! Finished and nice and fresh and clean for spring.
